Namibian Wonders, a self-drive Safari
Namibian Wonders, a self-drive Safari
to prominent highlights of Namibia
We focus on quality and individuality and, if possible, do not book large lodges or hotels.
When choosing accommodation, the location and quality (value for money) of the accommodation is paramount.
If you prefer absolute luxury, we need to know this beforehand so that we can meet your expectations.
Remember that you book directly with us and do not have to finance an agent’s commission.
We use Namibian local providers and have the following criteria:
The maximum age of the rental vehicles will be 3 years, (we are happy to book older vehicles to reduce costs, but only if you wish us to do so).
Correct gravel road suspension, tyres in excellent condition and always two good spare tyres!
Highest possible insurance with minimal excess! (recommended)
Competence of the emergency service, handling and customer care!
We will meet you at the airport / Windhoek or Walvis Bay / and bring you back after you have dropped off your rental car. The transfers are free of charge.
We always calculate and book all trips with the highest possible insurance and lowest excess.
We provide you with a GPS with pre-programmed routes!
In addition, we will carefully write down the route for you to double-check.
We also provide you with a road map with the route marked on it.
Your booking is secured and paid for. Your voucher is enclosed and commits us and the accommodation to the promised service.

As true Namibians, we know that the Toyota Hilux & Landcruiser is the best and safest solution to our rough gravel roads. When you book a self-drive tour with us, you will receive of these very high quality rental vehicles.
For groups of up to 4 people, we rent out the Toyota Land Cruiser SUV or Fortuner with automatic transmission. You are a little more robust with the Land Cruiser double cab.
The gravel road-proven Toyota Hilux double cab is also a good option and is booked by about 80% of all self-drive groups. Here you can enjoy a small upgrade with an engine that packs more power. Bear in mind, however, that you are only allowed to drive a maximum of 80 km/h on gravel roads and 120 km/h on asphalt roads.
The 7-seater stretched Land Cruiser has 6 window seats
As we offer complete self-drive tours, we always include the “maximum” insurance with the lowest possible participation. Fully comprehensive insurance is not available in Namibia! In general, the insurance covers all damages including “moving objects”, which means any accident with other vehicles and animals. Please see the LEGAL section of this page for more details.
In addition to a written route description and map, we also lend you a pre-programmed GPS free of charge. The well-known “Tracks for Africa” runs in the background, so you can keep an eye on your orientation even in the beautiful off-road areas of Namibia and reach your destination safely.
